Two painters with very different styles and ambitions helped change the look of 18th Century British Art.  Linda Smith guides us through their lives and works showing how Hogarth rose from humble copperplate engraver to successful painter and explains Reynolds’ meteoric rise to become first President of the Royal Academy.
